Constant Art collaborated with Qiddiya, an ambitious arts and entertainment destination, to develop a comprehensive public art strategy, blending innovative curatorial practices with expert art advisory and public art commissioning.

At its core, our public art strategy for Qiddiya is aligned with the destination-city’s vision, mission and values as well as its core objectives of becoming a globally-renowned tourist destination at the intersection of arts, sports and entertainment. Our strategy is underpinned by thorough research and analysis into international benchmarks, best practices in urban planning, and financial modelling, along with an understanding of the existing city framework, city masterplan, and business objectives. Furthermore, a detailed analysis of public art datapoints in different international cities allowed us to make targeted recommendations with regards to artwork density and budgeting.

This strategic framework is activated by the curatorial vision developed by Constant Art, a detailed report on key thematic threads, and a proposed narrative. It was then brought to life with a proposed artist longlist and a detailed typology report. Here, Constant Art was able to bring in the breadth of its knowledge in public art curation and commissioning, as well as its comprehensive insights into the latest names and trends in the field of public art in the region and internationally.
